MAJ Nicholas E Park

Commander/ US Army EOD Technical Detachment

Major Nick Park is currently serving as the Commander for the U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technical Detachment at Indian Head, MD. He most recently attended the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS.

 

He is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He received his commission from the University of Pittsburgh ROTC program and was selected for service as an EOD Officer while stationed at Fort Lee, VA.

 

He has held a variety of command and staff positions, including Administrative Officer at the Artificial Intelligence Integration Center, Pittsburgh, PA, Commander of the 74th Ordnance Company (EOD), Operations Officer at both the 303rd Ordnance Battalion and 25th Sustainment Brigade, Schofield Barracks, HI, and Operations Officer for the 723rd Ordnance Company (EOD) at Fort Campbell, KY.

 

His military education includes the Ordnance Officer Basic Course, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Basic Course, the Logistics Officer Captain’s Career Course, the Theater Nuclear Operator’s Course, the Command and General Staff College, and the Defense Support to Civil Authorities certification course along with numerous training certification courses. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Operational Studies from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas.

 

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), Army Achievement Medal (with two oak leaf clusters), NATO medal, Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Badge, the Air Assault Badge, and the German Armed Proficiency Badge.

 

He has been married to Hailie, a native of Nashville, TN, since 2023.
